This morning I read the disturbing news that the potential exists for Marjorie Claprood (D-Hell) to return to the airwaves. Save WRKO (http://www.savewrko.com/) is reporting that its no secret that Ruth Buzzi Claprood was in extended meetings there. I'm sure she and Jason Wolfe, Julie Kahn's personal version of the Travelocity Roving Gnome, weren't discussing their favorite shoe styles.
The return of this screechy harridan to talk radio would further contribute to WRKO's dreadful slide past mediocrity into ... well I can't quite find the word. Appaling, disgusting, grotesque...you pick.
This washed up retread of liberal trash would be the second biggest mistake WRKO could make. The first being the unlistenable Felon.
I had the displeasure of listening to her when she dirtied the Claprood & Whitley Show. Then she did a weekend stint once in a while. Then she subbed for Scott Allen Miller recently during the Gay Union Constitutional Convention. During that time she made the idiotic distinction that anyone opposed to gay unions was a bigot. That's right, a bigot. No wiggle room. You're right up there with the KKK if you don't believe in gay unions.
A woman called her on it stating that her stance on gay unions was her opinion and that in no way was she a bigot. Cancer Throat Claprood then spent 5 minutes berating her telling her she needs to wake up, she is a bigot and then hung up on her.
Is this what Boston Radio needs? A political retread, who we all thought and hoped had ridden off into the sunset resurrected to make WRKO even more unlistenable.
Save WRKO brought up the point of "Why are we bringing these retreads back? " and its a good one. Conservative listeners hold their stations accountable, even if they're spewing liberal diarrhea. Callers will offer thier opinions if they disagree, but someone needs to be listening to the host to begin with. As Todd Fienburg waffles to whichever way the wind is blowing, people care less and less about what his opinion means as he's pbraceted by hosts that tow the company line. Someday someone will realize that Soylent Green is people. But as long as you pepper the lineup with hosts that spew the check signers liberal political agenda, I have no desire to even listen much less call.
Hows Finnerian's show doing? From the blogosphere it seems that his listenership isn't what was expected. And his show itself is unlistenable. The uhhhs and dead air and boring subjects it seems aren't attracting the listeners WRKO thought they would get. No surprise there. Weak co-hosts and just bad programming are not a formula for success. Carry this over to potentially hiring another washed up hack, and how long can this boat float before they realize that's water rising around thier ankles? Claprood would be the second iceberg floating towards the Titanic thet is WRKO now.

Stop your begging Deval- Its unbecoming
Stop it Deval. Just stop.
I just had the displeasure of reading your podcast. My suggestion for your new one is to include more substance and less begging. Stop begging the media to get off your back. Stop begging the citizens to embrace your new tax plan. Stop begging the legislature to follow you into the black hole that you're about to make my state by taxing businesses enough that they'll want to pack up and leave.
You talk about stabilizing our economy in your podcast, and obviously the way you think you can accomplish that is on everyone else's back. You're wrong. You talk about the property tax relief rider you have attached to your municipal options bill. It only helps a small population and comes at the cost or raising taxes for businesses in my town. You talk about towns cutting costs by utilizing services used by the state for pensions & healthcare. You could at least give credit to Kerry Healy for stealing her idea.
I can't help but notice that your ugly habit of throwing others under the bus to distract readers & listeners continues in your podcast. This is a nice way to distance yourself from the problems that you need to deal with, and more importantly promised to deal with. North Andover can't afford teachers because of fat bloated pension and fixed costs and the diversion of state funds that they deserved going to pork, fat, patronage and the lack of a stimulated economy. You're going to work on that, right. lets reach for that.
Don't personalize everyone elses pain by pulling that trick of using peoples names and problems. That's cheap and shallow and a transparent way to manipulate people.
I make a good living. I don't have anything new or flashy but I'm not house, car , credit card , HELOC poor. I have a house and 2 respectable cars. But not a lot of disposable income. And guess what Governor Rodney Allen Ripney. My property taxes go up too. It hurts in my wallet. A 200.00 a month increase that got assessed to me this year hurts. And you're ignoring me in your relief bill. That's wrong. And it torques me off. How many people in the 35K a year range are actually going to benefit from your idiotic relief plan? THEY COULD NEVER AFFORD A HOUSE TO BEGIN WITH. And do you think its easy to do it at 70K? No its not. But I don't have a mansion in Milton, a vacation home in the Berkshires and a mansion in Atlanta. I don't have an interior decorator. My wife makes due at Wal-mart and when somethings on sale. I got my furniture at Bobs Discount Furniture. And I make what would be a good wage anywhere else but a living wage in this state.
I'm bringing back a phrase. I can already see the resurrection of 'Taxachusetts'. I remember this one from your campaign and how much you detested it: Taxed back to the Stone Age. Its coming back DeVille. Keep it up.

Devalpatrick - I Really Screwed Up
Really DeVille?
How magnanimous of you to admit that. Do you think its going to get you any slack cut? Maybe by your kool aid drinking minions who are frothing at the mouth for patronage jobs like Momma Devals private secretary ; those same people you conned into voting for you and vaulting you to the Governorship?
You make me laugh. You think that in one breath you can apologize for your embarrassing screw ups (please note the s indicating that your screwing up occurs on multiple occasions) and in the same breath convince the watchdogs of Boston media to become your lapdogs in delivering your message of screwing over both the citizenry and businesses of an already floundering state. Sure, I'm sure they'll jump aboard your bandwagon to deliver the message of belt tightening and program cutting and outright screwing you plan to offer us all in your tax packages.
What else do you have waiting in the wings next week Deval? maybe you can announce the pension amount for your wife's new Secretary. You know she'll be ponying up to suck off of the public teat just like the rest of them. Thanks to you, YES SHE CAN.
Unfortunately, the picture you paint of yourself does not fill my confidence cup to the brim. I know the Acolytes of Deval have moistened their pants in your apology. What a humble man. What a good man. See, he's not afraid to admit when he's wrong. But they're blinded to your arrogance in defending yourself each time you screw up. They don't see your angry eyes, or when you try to deflect the question by saying how many more important things you're working on or when you want to throw someone under the bus like the State Police or when you just outright lie.
Why don't t hey see that? You know what dots should be connected? The ones from where you're an outright liar, to no one being sorely mistaken by your quid pro qou's you've handed out, to how you ARE going to tax us back to the stone age, to how you're eventually going to decimate this state.
You've already left your footprint DeVille. Just because you apologize, doesn't mean we shouldn't be expected to be disappointed in you again. I don't think you learned your lesson. Not at all. I think that you think you're better than the people who put you where you are. I think you don't want to give anyone a straight answer . I think all your critics were right and that now your true colors - oh please forgive me that's not a racial slur- are coming out. At my expense.

How Deval Patrick Destroyed Massachusetts
In looking at the Rodney Allen Ripney of Massachusetts politics plans to ' close tax loopholes' to decrease the budget deficit in Massachusetts, I can't help but be reminded of the Taxachusetts stereotype that we never quite lived down.
I remember Gov Gary Coleman ruminating on and on about how we need to make Massachusetts a friendlier place to do business so we can stimulate economic growth and keep businesses here as well as the right employees to do the jobs.
Clutching crayon in hand, Patrick has panicked. And the knee jerk reactions have been taxes. Taxes at the local level with the options taxes and taxes ) regardless of what you call them) by 'closing loopholes' on businesses.
Has this dolt learned nothing from the Fidelity issues that are occurring. Maybe if you're secure in your job or part of a union that protects your ability to earn a living wage, whats going on with Fidelity isn't a blip on your radar.
Now me, I use Fidelity as a vendor for my job and I actually still work in one of their biggest money making and thus revenue generating ventures. So I watch them. And I've read about Fidelity's exodus from Massachusetts. Its happened already, jobs left the state to Kentucky, Rhode island ( how insulting is that) New Hampshire and now Texas. The operative phrases in these announcements? That these states have offered Fidelity 'generous tax incentives' to bring Fido's business to their states.
I can't blame Fidelity for taking the hook. Wouldn't you? If you were offered the option of driving to RI to buy a car for 7000.00 or stay in MA and pay 12,000.00 where would you go? Its that simple.
Yet our ignoramus governor seems to be blind to these simple truths. He's not trying to make Massachusetts more friendly to business from the biggest to the smallest. The local options taxes will drive business down. If I can eat in a 99 one town over and not have to pay the tax that my town has opted to impose, how will the 99 in my town fare? Small business screwed. The greenhouse emissions fees he signed into law week 3? Would I pay to retrofit my factory or pull up stakes? Depends on the cost, but I ain't happy about writing a check to the state. And how do those penalties get funded? Passed on to the consumer. The citizen just got screwed. And finally this ludicrous crap load about 'closing loopholes'. Way to go moron. How hard is it going to be for a company who does business in multiple states to just relocate to one of them? In my professional career I've changed offices dozens of times. If the business doesn't actually manufacture something in this state and their offices are administrative, its simple to pull up stakes & take off.
Everyone expected you to take the hard stances on making my home state a better place to live. Don't tell me that you're taking a hard stance by taking the cowards way out and raising taxes. With a 25 billion dollar budget, you can't tell me you can't make it work.

Deval Patrick & My Penny jar
I have a pickle jar on my bureau and at the end of every day, I put the change from my pocket in it. I started this practice when I got my first real job 20 + years ago. I've gone through different vessels, but the point remains the same.
The jar started out empty. The ringing of the change on the bottom every evening was pretty loud since the coins had nothing to absorb their impact except the glass of the jar. Then in a few weeks the level inside grew and I hear a satisfying clink of coin on coin. That's when I know I'm starting top make some headway in my fun money. Then a few weeks later I get to the point where the change slips off of the overflow back onto my bureau and I know its time to cash in.
Here's my point. Devals frivolous spending started out like the empty pickle jar. He's at the change on change level now as far as I'm concerned. Overflow is not far behind.....
Lets recap for those of you like Jackass Jim Braude who dismiss his Majesty's spending away with the wave of a hand:
2,000(estimate) helicopter ride
46,000.00 PimpMobile
72,000.00 private secretary for Momma Patrick
That gets me up to 120,000.00 in 6 weeks. Lets call it 2 months. That's 60,000.00 a month. Multiply that by 12 and you're up to 720,000 a year. Multiply that by 4 and I want to puke.
This is the guy that wants his departments to cut spending and help cut a deficit?
And he defends each one of his bonehead moves. Angrily. He has no clue. God help us all I can't help but get sick when I think of the damage that this jackass can do.

WRKO or Root Canal
Yesterday I took the day off from work to have a root canal done. As I was sitting in the chair thinking obscene thoughts about the hygienist my dentist interrupted mt pornographic reverie by asking me if I was in any pain. In retrospect, probably a good thing.
Anyway, as I enjoyed the sound of the drill and the feeling of decayed tooth ricocheting around in my mouth, I thought to myself how many times have people jokingly said ' I'd rather have a root canal' as an option to something unpleasant?
Yesterday I had that option. At 8:00 AM I was on my way to the dentist for a root canal and figuring I was punishing myself enough, I flipped on Felons Forum on WRKO.
It was like getting that really sharp hook the dentist uses to probe where it hurts even though you've already told him. I know I literally winced while I was driving.
Lets review and we'll tally up at the end:
Pinch of Novocaine needle in my gums or listen to Felon Finnerian?
I'll take the needle
Unyielding whine of the drill chipping away the decay on my tooth or Felon Finnerian?
I'll take the drill
Jerking mouth wrenching feeling of the tool that pulls out the pulp of my dead nerve of Felon Finnerian?
I'll take the nerve extraction without Novocaine please
Throbbing pain of the Novocaine wearing off and the evidence of the abuse my oral cavity has taken shown by the swelling of my gums or Felon Finnerian?
Bring on the pain
Soothing drowsiness and finally sleep of 2 vicadin or Felon Finnerian?
I think without the vicadin I'd have been asleep listening to the colossal bore that is Finnerian anyway.
OK, so lets sum up- Root canal or Finnerian?
Root canal by a landslide!!!!
And here's the tragedy of all this folks: Its true. All kidding aside, I actually had a better experience than the survey delivers. My dentist is great, the hygienist is a knockout and the vicadin part is true. I had a great root canal experience. But when the pain is gone and my tooth is fixed, Finnerian will still be un- listenable.
So there you go. I would actually rather have a root canal than listen to that sanctimonious monotone pantload Tom Finnerian.

Air Deval
Yesterday and this morning I read and listened to the Rodney Allen Ripney of Massachusetts politics' stance on the use of the state Police helicopter to attend a funeral and the swearing in of Joe Denucci. In all honesty after the original disgust and comparison to figurehead Governor Jane Swift passed, I guess in the gran scheme of things its not such a big deal. Don't get me wrong, I was initially PO'd and in the heat of the moment posted a nasty response on www.DevalPatrickWatch.com. In retrospect I guess if i want the leader of the State to do an important job, maybe its not such a big deal.
Then I started listening to the audio clips of his explanation. Now I've heard a lot of the puff pieces ( his podcasts are as fluffy as a roll of Cottennelle toilet tissue) and the arrogance came through loud and clear. It was there. The "How dare you" tone. The "I know better than you and don't think to question me" tone. The tone that gave away the true measure of the man.
And I didn't like it. It reminded me of those movies where the sweet little girl is possessed and for just a second her eyes turned green and you saw the demon within. I saw it when he interviewed with John Keller too.
It also says " I won't forget this" it says " I'm as big a politico as there is " And unfortunately it also says" business as usual".
Am I reading too much into this? I don't think so. Taken in context with everything Duval has done, or hasn't done for that matter, I think this episode just served to expand the chasm between the doe eyed hopefuls that latched themselves to his wagon hoping for more inclusion, hoping for more transparency, hoping that he wasn't an empty suit when they walked into the ballot booth.
Where are his followers, his supporters, the 'WE' in Yes We Can? I don't hear as much from them anymore. Not even the 'lets give him a chance' folks. Is there a level of dissapointment growing at the grass roots? I can't believe that all of these people are satisfied with the product Duval is delivering?
And taxes. I'm hearing more and more about them. In my hometown, they're floating a prop 2 1/2 override out again. Already threatening to cut policemen firemen & schoolteachers. I guess I have a problem with this since if we had enough moneylast year and we budget for growth, why don't we have enough money this year? What are my property taxes going to? betterments and easements and so on all moving to the town coffers and they keep asking for more. I don't have it to give.
3 more weeks until Rodney Allen Ripney floats his budget. I can't wait to see where he cuts. Do you really think he got good imput from the departments asked to trim budgets? Of course not. If your livleyhood is based upon how much you allegedly produce, how are you going to tell your boss you're not at bare bones. I'll take action on the fact that the reason these cuts were not released to CLT is because they were laughable.
God help us all, I could type till my fingers fall off.

WRKO God help them all
I've been a pretty loyal RKO listener for about 20 years. My college job was as a security guard from 3-11 pm and it was Jerry Williams all afternoon. I'd probably be right in saying it helped me form my conservative views I have today.
Things are changing in Massachussetts and not for the better. Our new democratic Governer has pretty much flipped thepopulace the bird and is already running rampant in terms of changing CORI laws, not allowing State Police the power to stop illegal immigrants, reversing funding cuts to pork programs and preparing the public for tax increases because of a looming budget deficit. He's populated his cabinet with union hacks as well as sychophants and yes men. And with the houses controlled by the Democrats, the Republican voice has been dangerously quelled.
Now, in what can only be described as a disgracefuls slap in the face to loyal RKO listeners, Julie Kahn has plopped Tom Finnerian, legendary hack and disgraced convicted felon in the morning drive time.
I commute for a while and I can't deal with the mind numbing chatter of FM radio. I like to think I'm smarter than the average bear and need to feed my mind and keep up with current events.
But Finnerians show is just a mutual masturbation session. He jerks off the Governor, and we're left with our dicks in our hands.

The Massachusetts Miracle
The miracle in Massachusetts is that people still choose to live here. I've been looking at houses recently, although why I don't know. My current town taxes just went up 200.00 a month due to 'betterment's' assessed to my house. But, because I'm one of the few people under that age of 70 who have more equity than mortgage on my house, we're thinking of downsizing.
So I ask myself, why not just use this opportunity to get out? sometimes I liken being a Massachusetts resident to being a beaten wife. Now I'm not belittling abused wives in any way shape or form. But I used to spend some time in court. And when the husband would come up to be arraigned, 8 out of 10 times the wife would stand up and say it was a mistake or a misunderstanding or she wanted to drop the charges. We've all seen the Lifetime movies. When she gets home, the beatings just start all over again.
That's what I feel like, and I see an opening here, an opportunity to get away from the beatings. The beatings I take as a middle class white 40 year old homeowner , father, husband, breadwinner, soccer coach, cub scout leader, employee citizen of the Commonwealth, none of the wealth of which I am getting.
which leads me to our new Governor, the Rodney Allen Ripney of Massachusetts politics. I know no one wins when you say I TOLD YOU SO. I've learned that from 100 years of marriage. But Jesus, God it needs to be said. problem is no one's listening. Not senator, not my Congressman, no one. No one has the common sense God gave a gnat in this state.
Rodney Allen wants to narrow CORI requirements. I am a Cub Scout Pack Leader. I've run Cub Scout Camp programs with 200 1st through 5th graders running around 100 acres of woods. I've witnessed parents that are so willing to drop their children in the care of strangers and jet to work that they spill their coffee in their own laps when the lean over to shove their kids out of the car. Now Rodney Allen wants to narrow CORI focuses. What is he thinking? And how can anyone back him on this? http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2007/02/12/patrick_seeks_to_limit_background_checks/?page=full
How can we protect our children and the children in our charge if this ' forward thinking' dolt is allowed to wreak havoc and let sex offenders walk our streets in the name of rehabilitation. Another R word that Rodney Allen needs to think about is RECIDIVISM. I don't want any of those freaks anywhere near my kids. Its bad enough they're back on the street to begin with, but now to not be able to know that they're predators?
According to this moron's version, only things that criminals are convicted of will show up? That's nice. based on how full the courts are and how criminals plead down, how does that help the guy who doesn't want his daughter working next to a pervert at the mall if he wasn't convicted due to a technicality?
Anyway, as the bitch in this relationship, I think I'm about to get another beating.....
